For the past 10 years, Yung Escobar MX has made a name for himself in the underground hip-hop scene of the San Diego border region. He had his early days with Legendary Artist Krayzie Bone and Wish Bone who formed their Record Label & Apparel Brand "The Life Entertainment". YMX was so inspired by their brand of music, that he translated their Classic Hit "First of the Month" in Spanish. He was inducted to the Uniques Car Club in Santa Ana, CA, which he gets involved with their event year after year! YMX has crafted a sonic tapestry composed of different cultures, languages, and sounds that transcend borders and genres. In this episode we are talking to Keith Wright from ShineWright Productions. Music has always been a part of his life due to his father being a bassist in several small bands and later at the church they attended.
Keith started his music journey, like most, playing drums at the church for the children’s choir, adult choir and combined choir. During school age years, Keith played percussion in every band the schools had available to include concert bands, wind ensembles, jazz bands, pep bands and marching bands. Upon graduation, Keith enlisted into the service and continued to play with the United States Air Force drum and bugle flight at Lackland Air Force Base (San Antonio, Texas) and the drum and fife corps at Keesler Air Force Base (Bilouxi, Mississippi).
Keith has released music projects as a beat maker, producer, collaborator, composer and music director. To date, Keith has been working on music compositions for independent film makers on 8 published movies and currently in post-production on 2 others (credits can be found on IMDB.com.), 2 intro songs for a UFC fighter, and various projects for sync licensing. -
