Today, weâre talking about setting boundaries, speaking your truth, and protecting your energyâlessons Sarah Horgan learned through her cancer journey. One of her biggest realizations? People donât think about us as much as we assume. And when we try to manage someone elseâs emotions, we might actually stop them from fully processing their own feelings. Prioritizing yourself isnât selfishâitâs necessary. Small, quiet momentsâlike driving in silence or making a tea latteâcan help you reset and recharge.
Weâre also diving into how your environment reflects whatâs happening inside of you. Sometimes, a little decluttering can be more powerful than you think. Letting goâwhether itâs old habits, relationships, or even physical stuffâcreates space for growth and helps you step into a mindset that serves you. You donât need to hold on to everything to be okay. Itâs time to build a life that aligns with your well-being, one intentional step at a time.

Today, weâre talking about Pilatesâbut not just the workout. Weâre diving into how Pilates trains both your body and mind, helping you build strength, focus, and resilience. If youâve ever felt like you were just going through the motions in a workout (or in life), this episode is for you.
Pilates isnât about getting it perfectâitâs about tuning into your body, noticing whatâs happening, and showing up for yourself. Joe Pilates, the founder of Pilates, believed in training the body to come back each day, not to chase perfection, but to compare your progress to your own yesterday. The more you practice, the more possible it becomes. And yes, that also means it can get harderâbut in the best way.
Lesley Logan, founder of onlinepilatesclasses.com and the Be It Till You See It Podcast, is here to help you experience this firsthand. She uses her podcast separate from Pilates to talk to people who are experts in other areas, to really allow people to tap into different areas, and help achieve other goals that they may have. Not only does she learn from this podcast, but other people can too.
Sometimes, stepping into a new version of yourself starts with a single actionâso whatâs stopping you? Letâs talk about it.

Today, we're talking about something so many of us wrestle withâseparating who we are from what we do.
It can be easy to think that your worth is tied to your job title or how hard you're working, but really your identity is not your job. You are worthy of all the wonderful things life has to offer, simply because of who you areânot what you achieve.
Separating work from identity can be freeing. Inspired by my book Slow Living, I explore how to detach from the pressures of defining ourselves by our careers. JL Collins talks about The FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement, in his book The Simple Path to Wealth. It reinforces this ideaâretirement isnât an age, but a financial equation that can create more freedom in your life.
Workplaces can feel like a second home but itâs important to remember that work and colleagues are separate from your actual life . True belonging comes from the family and close friends who truly know, love, and support you. At the end of the day, your life happens outside of work, with the people who matter most.

Today we are talking about how to navigate overwhelming times and take back control of your life.
Right now, many people are feeling upset with the state of the world. Itâs easy to get caught up in the chaos, but the real question isâwhat are you doing every day? Are your habits helping you move forward or keeping you stuck?
So⊠how do you create a sense of peace when everything feels uncertain?
One of the first steps is declutteringâremoving the things that arenât working for you. This could be physical clutter, mental clutter, or even emotional clutter. Pay attention to where your focus is going. If youâre only seeing whatâs wrong, it might be time to shift your energy toward what is in your control.
Iâm sharing more on how slow living and small daily changes can help you create a calmer, more intentional lifeâone step at a time.

In this episode, the idea of living a B+ life is explored, emphasizing that it's okay to not be perfect.
The pressure to impress others or achieve unattainable goals often leads to procrastination and burnout. Instead of striving for flawlessness, focusing on what's truly important to you and decluttering unnecessary distractions can help create a fulfilling life.
Happiness doesn't have to be delayed until reaching some idealized goalâit's possible to embrace contentment in the present.
Living a B+ life is about prioritizing personal happiness and success, not settling. It encourages taking small steps, such as spending 10 minutes decluttering or letting go of perfectionism, to build a more balanced and fulfilling life. It's okay to give yourself room to be imperfect and still thrive.

As we wrap up 2024, Iâm bringing you one final encore episode to close the year with a message thatâs been weighing on my mind: Everybody Has SOMETHING.
What does that mean? Itâs simpleâwe all have a past. Maybe itâs something youâd like to change about yourself or something difficult youâve been through. But hereâs the thing: whatever your âsomethingâ is, it doesnât define you, and it doesnât justify your behavior.
In this episode, Iâm reminding you that as adults, we have the power to choose our next steps. You can decide to move forward, to heal, and to create the life you want. If your past feels heavy, know that youâre not alone. Thereâs always help and hope waiting for youâdonât hesitate to reach out and take it.
Let this be your encouragement as we head into a new year. Let go of the weight of your âsomethingâ and seize the opportunities ahead.
Thank you for joining me throughout this year, and I canât wait to see you in 2025 with brand-new episodes.

Welcome back to another encore episode! Today, weâre exploring a topic that so many of us can relate to: feelings of unworthiness.
Iâll be honestâI still struggle with these feelings. There are days when I catch myself thinking: âI havenât done enough,â âmy ideas arenât fresh enough,â or even âmy clothes arenât right for this situation.â The good news? These feelings happen less and less as the years go by, and Iâm here to encourage you to take the same journey.
If unworthiness is something youâre wrestling with, I encourage you to poke at it. Yes, itâs uncomfortableâlike crawling through a mucky swamp or climbing a mountain straight out of an episode of Dora the Explorer. But the only way to get to the other side is to go through it.
In this episode, Iâm sharing:
My own experience with unworthiness and how Iâve worked through it.Why itâs essential to lean into the discomfort, even when it feels overwhelming.Encouragement to start your own journey through the âswampâ of self-doubt.Let this episode remind you: youâre not alone, and growth comes from facing those tough feelings head-on.

If youâve been a longtime listener, youâve probably heard me say this before: you are NOT a spreadsheet. And itâs true. But that doesnât mean you should ignore the numbers altogether. When youâre working to improve your lifeâwhether itâs your health, finances, or personal goalsâtracking data is essential.
Hereâs the catch: data is just data. Itâs neutral. It doesnât define you or determine your worth. This episode dives into:
How to collect data without attaching emotions or self-worth to it.Why separating your feelings from the facts is crucial to personal growth.Real-life examples of using data intentionallyâlike stepping on the scale during a health journey or reviewing your bank statement to improve your finances.Practical tips for keeping your emotions in check while staying accountable to your goals.Whether youâre looking to declutter your mind, simplify your approach, or gain clarity on your progress, this episode will remind you to embrace the facts without letting them define who you are.
Tune in to this encore episode and learn how to use data as a tool for growth, not judgment.

Welcome to our first encore episode of the season! As we close out the year, Iâm bringing back some of the most impactful episodes that continue to resonate with my coaching clients and community.
Today, weâre revisiting an important conversation about the role alcohol plays in your life. Is alcohol taking up too much space in your life? Is there a healthy place for it in your daily routine?
Hereâs the key takeaway: exploring your habits doesnât require a label. Deciding to examine your alcohol consumptionâor anything else like food or social mediaâdoesnât mean you have a problem. Instead, itâs about staying curious and intentional about how these things impact your life.
In this episode, weâll talk about:
Why labeling yourself isnât helpfulâand how to keep an open mind as you reflect on your habits. How to evaluate whether alcohol (or any habit) is actively helping you achieve your dream life. The first step in embracing a slow living lifestyle: decluttering whatâs not working. The difference between Start Goals and Stop Goals, and how to integrate them into your daily habits. This is an invitation to pause, reflect, and get curious. If something isnât helping you move forward, itâs worth exploring why youâre holding on to it.
Tune in to this encore episode and start building the intentional, slow life you deserve.

Hi, pretty people! This is my final new episode of 2024, but donât worryâover the next few weeks, Iâll be sharing encore episodes of some of your favorites that continue to spark questions and conversations. Fresh episodes will be back in 2025, so stay tuned!
For this special episode, weâre diving into three misunderstood concepts that many of us navigate every day: code switching, authenticity, and masking.
Hereâs what weâre talking about:
What is Code Switching? Adjusting your language, tone, and behavior to fit different environments like work or social gatherings. What is Masking? Suppressing parts of yourself to fit in or avoid judgment. What Does Authenticity Mean? Showing up as your true, unfiltered self.Weâll also explore how to balance these concepts in a way that feels authentic to you. While code switching and masking arenât inherently bad, using them intentionally can help create feelings of safety and comfort. Awareness is the key to navigating these behaviors effectively.
Here are a few tips weâll cover:
Create flexibility in how you adapt to different environments.Journal about what feels most authentic in certain situations.Notice when youâre masking or code switching and why.Set small intentions to show up as âmore youâ every day.Join me as we explore how to navigate these complex behaviors while staying true to yourself. Awareness is the first step to finding balance, and Iâm here to help you get started.
Letâs wrap up 2024 with this thought-provoking conversation and step into the new year with more intention and self-awareness!
