Sometimes it can be hard to see how God could possibly use the pain of our past for good. Yet, over and over in the Bible, we see examples of God taking the darkest, most difficult situations in people’s lives and using them for His glory.
-
The various experiences you’ve had in your life may seem irrelevant on their own, but together, they’re leading you toward something meaningful that you can use to glorify God.

Each of us was born to fulfill a specific purpose in this world. Even though we might not choose to acknowledge it, or have it figured out yet, God designed every single person with an incredibly unique combination of gifts that He wants to use to grow His Church. Thankfully, God has placed clues in our hearts and, through the Holy Spirit, guides us to discover our purpose.

THIS IS MY SURRENDER
-
Our Father God is a God of restoration.
He comforts us in disappointment.
He is gentle when we feel like an angry mess.
He is a quiet strength when frustration threatens to overwhelm us.
He disarms our best defenses with His persistent grace.
He confronts our human pride with His perfect love.
He heals our bodies of disease & stress.
He looks for hopeless situations to flood with His Hope.
His hope does not disappoint.
He gives us the Grace to be like Him.
And to overcome our challenges with strength & joy.. -
The greatest miracles in your life are most likely to transpire while you are in the fire. The fire may try to bend your will, but it cannot break your spirit if you willingly embrace the trials, choosing to apply their lessons to your future decisions—not allowing them to remain as simply external impossible situations.
-
We all want to make the right choice. Sometimes, however, there isn’t a right choice or a wrong choice —there’s just a choice and it’s up to you to decide. As long as you are leaning into God’s guidance individually and in community, and honestly desiring to follow the leading of the Spirit, you can’t get too far off course. That should begin to give you confidence about making a choice — any of the good choices before you — in order to move forward.
-
You’re not striving to become a “better you,” you’re just trying to understand who you truly are, who you’ve always been.
-
Clarifying your goals and objectives gives you an understanding of what you were made for, so you can move toward it and eventually live with purpose — the secret to what people call “happiness.” When you pursue purpose first, it’s more likely that you’ll find satisfaction. A sense of purpose draws people outside of themselves as they engage in activities that are captivating, energizing, and filled with opportunities to learn and grow.

As a member of the family of God, all we need is one other person to enjoy divine community.

Jesus fulfills the soul’s longings for God. He promises that only He Himself will satisfy.

The circumstances of your life have made and will continue to make your roar deeper, more authentic. None of us has had an easy life, and, when you get down to it, no such thing exists! As Jesus himself said, “In this world, you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Your roar will laugh sometimes and cry like a baby on others. It can comfort, it can correct, and it can communicate healthy choices and boundaries as needed. It will cheer from the stands or speak boldly when you’re standing up for yourself or someone else. Sometimes it will cry out to God in desperation—and other times in ecstatic praise.
With the passing of years, with God’s grace, your roar will become a trusted source of wisdom, experience, and love for other sisters. -
Sister, you have a voice!! And it’s one we need to hear. It’s a voice given to you to share.
