Hello everybody, and welcome back to Stones&Bones. In this podcast, we'll be talking about geodes. Geodes are made from sedimentary and volcanic rock, and they contain all types of minerals, from microscopic chalcedony to 5ft long amethyst crystals. Thousands of tons of geodes are found and mined every year, and this is what makes them one of the most popular crystals around. Hope you enjoy!

Hello everybody, and welcome back to Stones&Bones. In this podcast, we'll be talking about diamonds. Diamonds are probably the most popular gemstone on Earth, and that is because of their scarcity and high prices. Diamonds are extremely rare because of the circumstances they have to go through to be made, billions of years of immense pressure and heat it hard to come by, and diamonds need that to be made. I hope you enjoy this podcast!

Hello everybody, and welcome back to Stones&Bones. In this podcast, we'll be talking about gold. Now I know gold isn't necessarily a gemstone, but I thought is was just a stone that is really well known and something that we should discuss. Hello everybody, and welcome back to Stones&Bones. In this podcast, we'll be talking about trilobites. The evolution of eyes in the trilobite is very interesting, as it likely changed the course of events for all of history. They caused more carnivores, and the competition of food grew. The trilobites were the first to develop eyes, so they were really a pioneer! Hope you enjoy.

Hello everybody, and welcome back to Stones&Bones. In this podcast, we'll be talking about trilobites. Trilobites is almost unarguably the most popular fossil of all time. I don't mean prehistoric animal, that title belongs to the T-Rex, but for the most researched and bought fossil, that title belongs to the trilobite. The trilobite might be the most successful animal ever, living over 300 millino years and having billions of the crawling around Earth, they flourished for millions of years! This podcast is part 1 of trilobites, hope you enjoy!

Hello everybody, and welcome back to Stones&Bones. In this podcast, we'll be talking about meteorites. While meteorites aren't technically a gemstone, they're a very interesting rock and I thought that mixing it up every once in a while wouldn't hurt. Anyways, meteorites are a rock that has had a huge impact on the Earth's history and life as we know it. If the meteor that caused the Cretaceous extinction period would've veered just a bit more to the right or slowed down just a bit, we could've been living with dinosaurs! I hope you enjoy! Also, Happy One Year Anniversary!

Hello everybody, and welcome back to Stones&Bones. In this podcast, we'll be talking about one of the most popular dinosaurs, the triceratops. The triceratops is a giant, three-horned animal that lived in western North America. The triceratops was a large herbivore, but despite its size, it was eaten by some of the largest predators around, including the infamous T-Rex. I hope you enjoy this podcast, and happy New Year!

Hello everybody, and welcome back to Stones&Bones. In this podcast we'll be talking about Amber. Amber is something that is so unique and different, and because of that is really just stands out from any other fossil. Amber is a very pretty fossil that is extremely valuable, but with that it comes with fakes. Amber might be the most faked fossil of all time. It might even be the most naturally made thing ever for that matter. Amber is very valuable when it comes in a big chunk, so this leads many people to try and fake it and attempt to make a bit of money. Some people however have made ways to determine if your Amber is real, and it really has helped a good amount of people. I hope you enjoy!

Hello everybody, and welcome back to Stones&Bones. In this podcast, we'll be talking about petrified wood. Petrified wood is a really unique fossil, there isn't anything like it. Petrified wood is the fossilized remains of ancient trees. These trees can be anywhere from 180 million years old to just a couple million years old, which is pretty recent in the fossil world. Petrified wood is a massively collected fossil because of it's uniqueness from any other fossil in the world. Hope you enjoy!

Hello everybody, and welcome back to Stones&Bones. In this podcast, we'll be talking about the Hadrosaurus. The hadrosaurus is a very interesting dinosaur because it was a huge dinosaur, but it couldn't protect itself. It didn't have sharp teeth because it was a herbaviore, and the only thing it did was runaway. In my opinion, that is one of the reasons why the hadrosaurus really didn't live too long, at least in fossil years. Hope you enjoy this amazing and interesting dinosaur. Stay tuned for next week when I do one of the most interesting fossils in history!

Hello everybody, in this podcast we'll be talking about labradorite, Labradorite is a very interesting mineral, because for one thing, I was discovered in the last couple centuries, and for another thing, it has a unique feature that is called labradorescence. I talk a lot about labradorescence in the podcast if you want to hear more, but a quick run-down is that labradorescence is a quality in which the mineral has certain areas of the gemstone that light up at certain angles, or flash. I hope you enjoy one of the most interesting gemstones there is!
