When it comes to quoting, both Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics 365 CRM offer great capabilities – but which one should you use (or even both!), how should it all be integrated and what are the pros, cons and best practices to be taken into consideration. It can
can feel a little confusing, especially when there’s no “one-size-fits-all" quoting process that every business uses. The types of products and/services you're quoting for can also add additional complexities to navigate.
In this episode of Tecman Talks Dynamics we’re exploring the quoting functionality and integration between both Dynamics 365 CRM and Dynamics 365 Business Central, discussing the various aspects of quoting, such as pricing, look and feel, electronic signatures, tax, payment terms, and more. We’ll also be delving into the advantages and disadvantages of quoting in both systems, helping you choose the best tool for your business needs and processes.

Everything you need to know about Enhancement Plans for on-premises customers
The latest price increase for Enhancement Plans (EPs) for Microsoft Dynamics on-premises products will take effect in the autumn and could end up costing your business more in the long run if you opt to do nothing.
Prices are set to rise in real terms by 6% from October 2024, whilst substantial discounts attached to moving to the cloud under the Bridge to the Cloud promotion are predicted to disappear at the close of the year. Moving from on-premises to the cloud is only one part of the story, as many on-premises systems (earlier than v22 for Dynamics 365 Business Central, or any version of Dynamics NAV) are now out of mainstream support and increasingly exposed to the risk of encountering software problems that can’t be fixed. It’s tempting to let your plan lapse, but there are potential pitfalls, from being unable to add items to your licence through to no longer having access to promotional prices for moving to SaaS. Doing nothing and absorbing the cost could seem like the easy option but planning ahead for your business is critical and the longer you delay decisions the higher the potential costs in time and money.
Tecman recognises that every business is different and that the finer details around licenses will vary. Start the conversation with your partner now about the best options for your business in the longer term.

Multi-company Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations would have struck fear into partners (and users) a few years ago. In older versions, and its predecessor Dynamics NAV, it was difficult to duplicate processes internationally meaning it would take years, involve multiple partners and be very expensive to complete. However, the modern SaaS world is very different and now multi-company implementations are a breeze, are way more cost-effective and can be deployed in just a few months. Discover the ins and outs in the latest episode of Tecman Talks Dynamics.
