It’s summer so it must be that time of year again—time for the US GO Congress! Last year we filed a report from the 2018 Go Congress in Williamsburg (episode #15) and this year your Action Comedy Nerd Show co-host Dr. Jerry Jaffe did it again…this time from Madison, WI. That beautiful town on three lakes hosted the 2019 GO Congress and fun was had by all. While there, Jerry had the chance to record 3 interviews—Myungwan Kim 9P, Ryan Li 1P, and Congress Director David Weimer. With Myungwan Jerry asked about his new project teaching people with autism; Jerry asked Ryan about the New York Institute of Go and their popular videos; and Dave gave the lowdown on the tournament. Your usual ACNS co-host Dan “I’m a workin’ comic” Brown was on the road, so Jerry had the host this one himself (big mistake Dan, Jerry NEVER shuts up!).

Your humble co-hosts Dan & Jerry recently sat down with the author of the book Star Wars FAQ Mark Clark. Our conversation began in a galaxy far far away (Painesville, OH) and covered such topics as the original films, the rip offs, the parodies, while carefully avoiding any substantive talk about Jar Jar.

This bonus episode is actually an outtake from episode 11 when Jerry, Dan, and our friend Chris McVetta did a summer movie wrap up roundtable. When Dan said he liked the Netflix Death Note movie, Jerry's head exploded and this giant digression took place. It was too long to keep in the original episode, but we have decided to share it as an outtake. In addition to Death Note, the Lego Batman movie comes up, as does Scooby Doo and the Dungeons and Dragons movie. Enjoy!

Recently your humble co-host Dr. Jerry had a chance to meet legendary comic book author Mark Waid, so we sat down for a few and he told us about how he got into the business, his insights into Superman and Flash, DC versus Marvel, the cinematic universes, as well as the most expensive movie ticket he ever "bought." This special episode includes a cameo by co-host Dan Brown.

Comedian DJ Dangler, Co-host of YouTube channel Hybrid Network Luke Hurst, hosts of Surfabilly Freakout Radio Chelsea Bandida & Koffin Keith, cute cosplay couple Waldo and Carmen Sandiego (aka Bryce and Beatty Stephens), Steve "Steve needs a kidney" Panepinto telling the story of how he got engaged at the con, and Rita Skeeter cosplayer Laura Anne Welle. (Links to social media below). What a lively crowd, we recorded this with ambient tabletop mics that captured the crowd and the chaos of the liveness. Also, watch for our soon-to-be released second episode from the Indiana Comic Con--our second panel where we hosted a debate on the Best Superhero Movie of 2016.
