Kristof has more success and ends an 16 year streak of getting skunked on the Family Hunt land (this time with a rifle). The RUT weekend getaway was one for the books! T.C. shoots an even bigger buck than the one he was targeting, but the outcome leaves him disappointed. Spoiler alert: some humble pie is eaten... There's still season left, so the guys make late-season plans and T.C. preps to take a few weeks off to be camera-man on a hunt film with Donnie Vincent.

Who are we? What is our mission? Why do we hunt the way we do? What style of shorts do we wear while recording? How do we scout for good public land to utilize? These and many other questions get answered in this episode.

In this episode, Kristof and T.C. review the 2017 hunting season and reflect on lessons learned. They also bask in a little bit of past success but have to admit to some generous amounts of failure. Burning Question: Have you ever thought of âWhyâ you hunt - like really, really thought about it? The guys did, and it was a great exercise in introspection for them. Turns out they donât hunt for the same reasons⊠Bowhuntingâs hard reality? How big a deal is it to shoot, wound, but not recover a deer? Some thoughts and ideas get kicked around. Youâll have to see if you agree with them. Cheer or donât cheer? Kristof shot his 1st Archery and 1st Traditional bow deer last year and he didnât really celebrate it. Is that weird?! How do YOU feel when you kill an animal? Should we celebrate a kill? Lastly, We think we have the most sage advice on the best time to quit your job.
