In this episode, I share my personal answer—and I hope it offers you strength, inspiration, and a renewed sense of purpose in your own work. • You’ve heard the advice: once your business scales, drop the 1:1s. Focus on leverage. Build your groups. But what if that’s not the whole story? In this episode, I share why I’ve kept private client work at the heart of my business — even as everything else has grown — and why it continues to fuel not just my revenue, but my joy, skillset, and thought leadership.

If you’ve ever questioned whether 1:1 work is still “worth it,” or felt torn between group scalability and the intimacy of private sessions, this conversation will offer clarity, permission, and a fresh perspective. 1:1 work isn’t just something to graduate from — it might be the very thing that elevates everything else you do.

    In this episode, you’ll hear:

Why 1:1 work is deeply soul-satisfying (when you have the right skills)

The types of clients who truly need a private container

How your 1:1 skills improve your curriculum and group facilitation

The powerful role 1:1 work plays in your marketing and messaging

Why private sessions can be a secret incubator for your best ideas

Whether you’re in love with your 1:1 work or wondering if it’s time to let it go, this episode will help you reconnect to what matters most in your practice — and trust the business model that’s truly aligned with your strengths.

  • Today’s episode is a little different. To celebrate our 50th episode (wow!), I’m getting very personal. I’m sharing some deeply vulnerable stories about the quirky, subtle, and sometimes cringey ways that rejection sensitivity shows up in my life — in my business, in my friendships, and even in my relationships with beloved clients.

I’ll be honest: I’m a little nervous to share all this! But I’m doing it because this conversation is important. So many of us - and our clients - hold ourselves back from creating what we want or showing up fully because of our fear of rejection. I want to normalize this experience, bring it out of the shadows, and remind you that you’re not alone and you’re not broken if this shows up for you, too.

In this episode, I talk about:

The surprising places rejection sensitivity shows up for me — even after decades of inner work

What Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria is, and how learning about it has helped so many of my clients (especially those with ADHD)

How fear of rejection shaped my business in the early years: undercharging, avoiding outreach, not following up

The sneaky ways rejection stories still show up in close friendships — and how I’ve learned to name them and work with them

The awkward truth about sometimes feeling rejected by my own clients

Why normalizing rejection sensitivity is so powerful for our own healing and for client work

Practices that help: awareness, nervous system regulation, and strategic action-taking even in discomfort

How to gently help your clients identify and work through rejection sensitivity and self-sabotage

Whether you’ve experienced this yourself or witnessed it in those you work with, I hope this episode helps you feel more resourced, more seen, and a little less alone.

And if this conversation speaks to your heart, I’d love to invite you to my upcoming workshop:
Unshaken: How to Face Rejection and Keep Going.

And hey — if any of the stories I shared today hit close to home, please reach out and tell me. I would genuinely love to hear from you and hold space for your own beautiful, weird, human experiences around rejection.

  • When a client starts ghosting, avoiding, spiraling into overwhelm, or just quietly disengaging
it can feel discouraging, confusing, or even a little heartbreaking as a practitioner. We’ve all been there — and most of us were never trained in how to meet these moments with clarity, confidence, and compassion.

In this episode, I’m giving you a behind-the-scenes look at my powerful 4-session training, Navigating Client Resistance. Whether you're new to the field or have years of experience, this is the kind of training that belongs in every coach and healer's toolkit.

    You’ll hear:

    Why resistance isn’t a problem — it’s a signal

Common resistance behaviors like procrastination, avoidance, flakiness, overwhelm, negativity, and how to understand them

What happens inside you when clients resist — and how to stay grounded instead of reactive

How global uncertainty is heightening resistance (and what to do about it)

The connection between client resistance and sales resistance — and how to meet both with integrity

How this work can deepen trust, boost re-signs, and increase referrals

What’s inside the program — including the somatic technique that gets to the root of blocks in minutes

Why this training helps you navigate your own resistance too

This isn’t about fixing or forcing your clients. It’s about learning to hold powerful space when things get messy — and becoming the kind of practitioner who knows how to meet the hard moments without collapsing or over-giving.

Let this be the moment you stop fearing resistance — and start working with it like a pro.

  • In today's deeply resonant episode, we dive into a topic many of us are feeling but not always discussing openly: how do we coach effectively—and live meaningfully—during times of profound global uncertainty? From political upheaval to climate crises and economic shifts, we explore practical ways to support clients towards their goals when everything feels wobbly, both for ourselves and our clients.

    What You'll Learn

Why so many clients are struggling right now (even if they don't explicitly connect it to world events)

Practical tools to help clients move from overwhelm to agency without bypassing their genuine feelings

How to hold both pain and hope simultaneously (the powerful paradox that creates true healing)

Why "tying sessions up in a neat bow" can sometimes do more harm than good

What coaches and practitioners need to do for themselves in order to better help clients

  • Today’s episode is a special treat! I’m sharing with you an interview I did a year ago on the Let’s Lead Together podcast. Host Marli Williams (who is also a pal of mine), took us into deep and unexpected territories. We dove into the powerful realm of transformational leadership.

With tons of insights and practical wisdom, we explore the crucial aspect of creating a safe and nurturing environment for personal growth and change.

Some of the things we covered:

the importance of regulating our nervous system

the art of facilitating deep connections within a group setting

both of our journeys to self-acceptance and authentic transformation.

the complexities of addressing fears and resistant beliefs

and so much more!

I loved this conversation when we had it back in 2023, and it is even more potent and thought provoking today. I can’t wait for you to listen.

  • One of my most beloved tools for helping clients achieve goals and create the experience they want in life - it’s working with Archetypal Energy! In this episode, we dive into this very potent coaching tool - a tool that goes far beyond personality quizzes and common surface-level conceptions of what Archetypes are. You’ll learn how accessing different archetypal energies can help clients breakthrough personal blocks, unlock hidden resources, and create meaningful change in their lives.

Drawing from decades of personal and professional experience, the episode explores archetypes not as rigid character types, but as dynamic, living energies that each person can uniquely interpret and embody. By understanding and intentionally harnessing these archetypal resources, you can support your clients (& yourself!) to achieve goals with greater depth and alignment.

    In this episode, we explore:

What archetypes truly are and how they differ from common misconceptions

Practical principles for accessing archetypal energies

How to help clients find empowerment through different archetypal expressions

Carl Jung's foundational work on archetypal theory

Somatic perspectives to working with archetypal energy

And I also mention a couple of opportunities in the episode:

  • Cultural beliefs like “more is better” and “perfection is necessary” often go unquestioned, yet they can wreak havoc on our lives, businesses, and sense of well-being. These deeply ingrained ideas—rooted in patriarchy and advanced capitalism—impact our nervous systems, our ability to create sustainable projects, and our sense of satisfaction.

But here’s the truth: we don’t have to play by these rules. We get to define our own standards of success, enoughness, and satisfaction
and it is our job to help our clients with this as well.

In this quick but vitally important episode, we look at the importance of identifying and rewiring these limiting beliefs so you can make aligned decisions, find more peace and self value, and build a life and business on your terms.

What You’ll Discover in This Episode:

🔎 Uncover some of the most pervasive patriarchal beliefs that are likely operating undercover in your life

💡 Insights on how perfectionism and “more is better” thinking hold us back from creating what we really want

😍 Personal empowerment and permission to finally move beyond cultural conditioning
