  • In Episode 229 of The Fierce Factor podcast, Iā€™m sharing insights from my recent experiences and the lessons Iā€™ve learned about making smart business decisions. Just like my sister holding onto outdated skincare products, Iā€™ve seen business owners cling to outdated or ineffective partnerships simply because theyā€™ve invested time and energy into them.

This episode emphasizes the importance of slowing down and doing the necessary due diligence before making any significant commitments in business.

Iā€™ll emphasize the need to "test before you invest" by aligning with partners who share your core values, meet you halfway, and have a proven track record of success. I break down a framework that Iā€™ve developed over the years to ensure that Iā€™m making the right choices before fully committing. These five key questions guide me in vetting potential partners or investments.

By applying this framework, Iā€™ve been able to avoid costly mistakes and confidently invest in opportunities that truly align with my business goals. I hope this episode helps you refine your decision-making process and ensures your investments are set up for success.

  • In this weekā€™s episode of The Fierce Factor, I tackle one of the most crucial decisions every business owner faces: should you promote a current employee to a leadership position, or is it time to bring in new talent?

As founders, many of us excel at what we know bestā€”whether that's perfecting clinical skills or honing our coaching techniques. But when it comes to transitioning from a hands-on provider to a visionary CEO, the skill set required shifts dramatically.

I explore the common pitfalls, like overpaying for seasoned professionals when you're not ready or promoting a front desk coordinator without proper training, that can derail your progress. Instead, learn how to delegate, train, and cultivate a Practice Leaderā€”a role that bridges the gap between front desk and operations manager.

I also discuss the essential leadership skills needed for a successful practice leader, including how to lead, influence, and communicate effectively. Plus, we'll guide you on setting clear career paths, addressing skill gaps, and recognizing red flags in potential leaders.

This episode is packed with strategies to help you promote the right people, avoid costly mistakes, and build a robust leadership structure that will support your practice's long-term growth.

  • I sense there is a collective shift happening in society today- one that is inspiring a lot of high achieving women to re-evaluate the focus of their energy. And to question whether the path they are on today is truly in alignment with the life they want to live.

Like for me, I have become extremely protective of my energy. And because of that I am quite in tune with the feeling of misalignment.

Confusion, overwhelm, and emotional exhaustion really occurs when you are working hard at something that no longer serves you. And this reality can be so overwhelming that we bury it deep and just busy ourselves with more work to avoid the discomfort of facing it.

So this week I want to walk you through an experience that will allow you to really pause and think about the default circumstances in your life that made perfect sense at one point in time but have evolved into a source of baggage for you today.

Like imagine if you could hit the ā€œresetā€ button in your life. How would you do it differently? What would stay? What would go?

Have a listen and let yourself go there.

    Enjoy!

In this weekā€™s episode, I dive into the importance of leading during slow times, which can occur not just in summer but anytime due to various factors like political events, team changes, or new initiatives. In this episode Iā€™ll share why I believe the key to success lies in loving the messy process of personal and professional growth. Weā€™ll explore the J-curve concept to help you frame downturns as preludes to fruitful upswings and discuss the importance of transferring skills to scale your business effectively.

  • Welcome back, Leader, to the Fierce Factor podcast! I've got something special for you this week ā€“ a bonus replay episode where weā€™re diving into something close to my heart: the pursuit of success versus the pursuit of fulfillment.

While this episode originally aired in 2022, its message rings truer than ever in today's fast-paced world. In my years of coaching business leaders, I've noticed a troubling trend: burnout, exhaustion, and a pervasive sense of disillusionment with one's own business. But why? It's simple ā€“ we've become consumed with comparison, constantly measuring ourselves against others and chasing some ill-defined notion of success.

Just take a scroll through Instagram ā€“ it's all there, the endless stream of accomplishments and happiness on display. But here's the thing about external validation ā€“ it's fleeting. And when it fades, we're left chasing after it once more, trapped in an exhausting cycle of striving for more.

So I challenge you, are you truly fulfilling yourself each day, or are you deferring happiness to some distant 'someday'?

In this replay of 'Success vs Fulfillment: How To Have It All,' we unpack the dichotomy between external accolades and inner peace. Join me as I explore the pitfalls of constantly seeking external validation and the importance of finding fulfillment in our daily lives. From the pressures of social media to the sobering lessons of palliative care, this episode challenges us to reevaluate our priorities and redefine success on our own terms. Get ready to challenge the status quo and embark on a journey toward authentic contentment. Tune in now and let's redefine what success really means.
