In this episode, Bruce Ahchow, custodian of Seppelt Wines in Great Western joins us to chat about the history of Seppelt Wines as he walks you through a few of their current releases.
The Great Western estate, which is where the Australian Sparkling Wine industry started in the 1800s is home to the longest underground cellars in the Southern Hemisphere, the Seppelt Drives.
Bruce will also guide you through a few of the Seppelt Wines currently released and available for tasting at the Great Western Cellar Door - Seppelt Great Western Riesling, Seppelt Chalambar Shiraz, the Limited Release Arrawatta Shiraz and the Original Sparkling Shiraz.

Grampians Estate
Tom Guthrie from Grampians Estate joins us in this episode to share some of his stories and wines. The Guthrie family have been primary producers in Australia since his Great Grandfathers arrival to Australia in 1847, with the Great Western and Mafeking vineyards, winery and Great Western cellar door being more recent ventures for the Guthrie family.

Black & Ginger Wines
Hadyn Black, of “Black & Ginger Wines” joins us in this week's episode to walk us through a couple of his new releases. Established in 2015, the relatively new label is breaking away from the traditional varieties grown in the Grampians region to produce an eclectic collection of wines that change from vintage to vintage, depending on what fruit Hadyn can get his hands on. Andrew Toomey, the owner and viticulturist of the Miners Ridge Vineyard from Armstrong, located between Ararat and Great Western. The majority of Miners Ridge is planted down to Shiraz with a handful of other varieties also growing. Miners Ridge also has accommodation and sees many visitors staying on the vineyard whilst visiting the silo art trail. Miners Ridge has some big plans ahead, with an increase of production with the increase of popularity of his label.
