In this episode, I explore how patriarchy originated as an adaptive response to a crisis of wealth inequality, and how this led to the dehumanization and objectification of both men and women.
Inevitably this oppressive objectification impacted our collective perceptions of masculinity and femininity, and I believe the modern phenomenon of transgender identity is, in part, a response.
Join The Heart Speaks for a thought-provoking discussion on the origins of patriarchy and its link to the modern transgender phenomenon.

In this episode of The Heart Speaks, ChloĂ© reacts to Sam Harrisâs remarks on the Bible and its stance on slavery. Presenting a nuanced response to Harrisâs point ChloĂ© acknowledge that the Bible does contain passages that appear to endorse slavery, but also argue that the Bible is not a static doctrine and contains other scriptures that question and challenge the idea of slavery. She suggest that the Bibleâs stance on slavery is paradoxical rather than contradictory, and cite examples of biblical scriptures that were used by abolitionists in America. Watch the full episode to find out more on whether the bible actually condoned slavery.

In this episode of The Heart Speaks, Chloe discusses the relationship between bigotry, trauma, extremism surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Chloe suggests that trauma can lead to defensive measures to protect oneself and oneâs community from annihilation, which may result in extremism and argues that trauma is not an intellectual exercise but a subconscious feeling that manifests regardless of academic awareness. Chloe believes that healing from trauma can take decades or centuries, and having power may create the capacity for that healing to emerge. Hope you enjoy the conversation!

In this episode, I took the opportunity to reflect on a video of Jordan Peterson discussing the existence of God. Peterson emphasizes the importance of using cautious language when discussing God, as this transcendent principle is difficult to describe. He believes that God, at the highest level, is the spirit that individuals must emulate in order to thrive, and that this spirit can be extracted from the admirable qualities of people. Peterson also critiques the new atheist claim that belief in a deity is a superstitious and foolish hindrance to scientific progress, and questions whether even scientists themselves believe in the transcendent. Letâs dive in for more.

In this episode, we discuss Narcissistic DEI and its Antidote, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in general, and the various approaches DEI theorists take. In this video, I discuss how some DEI theorists take specific instances of discrimination, such as banks not issuing mortgages to African Americans and people of color, and overgeneralize these issues to an entire population.
This type of approach can be harmful because it assumes that all members of a particular group are the same and experience the same level of discrimination. In reality, people are complex and have unique experiences that cannot be reduced to their race or ethnicity.
On the contrarian side of the DEI domain, is narcissistic DEI. Narcissistic DEI occurs when individuals or organizations focus solely on themselves and their own interests, rather than the broader goal of achieving equity and inclusion for all. A lack of empathy and a narrow focus on specific groups or individuals often characterizes this type of approach.
In the video, I discuss the antidote to narcissistic DEI by emphasizing the importance of empathy and understanding. We must take the time to listen to and learn from individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences. By doing so, we can develop a deeper understanding of the issues and challenges facing marginalized communities and work towards creating a more equitable and inclusive society.

Hi! Iâm excited to share that I recently had the pleasure of joining Coleman Hughes on the Conversations With Coleman podcast, where we discussed some really important topics that Iâm incredibly passionate about.
In this episode, we talked about the War on Wokeness, a topic that has been causing a lot of controversy and debate in recent years. We also delved into the complicated relationship between Black and Jewish Americans, exploring the nuances and complexities of these issues in a respectful and thought-provoking way.
