  • Today on the Three L's, Rachel Ann Dine, LPC is outlining problematic unregulated life coaching strategies and how to spot them. We are currently in the age of life coaching exploding onto the scene in our culture. Whether it is the Instagram coach, or motivational speakers like Rachel Hollis or Tony Robbins, there are several tactics to be aware of that most of these individuals appear to be using to gain followers and clientele.

Life coaching is a completely unregulated industry at this current time of recording and there are some major differences between therapy and life coaching being shared in today’s video. From understanding the problematic nature of the Rachel Hollis hustle culture toxic positivity to shaming language used by motivational speakers like Tony Robbins and other coaches, the goal with this episode is not to demonize the self-help field but instead point out areas to be aware of in your quest for self improvement.  Rachel Ann is a firm believer in reaching out for help and working on yourself, and is sure that there are some ethical coaches, but, with the explosion of the unregulated life coaching strategies and industry, her hope is to point out problematic areas of this industry, talk about the difference between therapy and life coaching, and provide you with some information that helps You navigate the field of self-help.

**Please take note that this video is for educational purposes, commentary, and a critique on certain strategies used in the life coaching industry. This video is my reaction as a therapist to observed problematic strategies used by life coaching which is at this time, an unregulated industry.

  • Family dynamics! We all have them and they can fall on a spectrum of healthy to unhealthy. Today, Rachel Ann Dine, LPC is analyzing a current relationship (Britney Spears and her father) to share about how upbringing can come into play in the present moment, toxic traits of family dynamics, screening questions to ask yourself, and also breaking down what's happening now with Jamie Spears stepping down from Britney's conservatorship and some potential problems with the ambiguity of him leaving. There was a backstory here with Britney Spears and her father, and today, I'm sharing my analysis of family dynamics through the lens of Britney and her father. From emotional blackmail, gaslighting, power and control, learn to recognize the signs of toxic family dynamics. While this episode is an analysis of Britney Spears and her father, I also hope you are able to learn warning signs to look out for, as well as better recognize when negative family dynamics may be at play!
