  • Welcome to the next episode of the Untangling podcast series. Today I am thrilled to share an interview with a beautiful soul, who although we haven’t met in person yet, I consider as a valued connection in my life, and her name is Susan Mullen.

There is something very special about Susan, and that is her ability to connect intuitively with people and animals alike. Her clairvoyant abilities are rooted in her interpretations in her sessions with both people and animals. Inherited from her father, who was both a psychic and a medium, her wide-open field enhances and serves intuitive soul sessions with people and animals. People who perhaps want to know more about their own paths but also who want to connect with their beloved animals, whether they are here in the earthly realm or have transcended. We all love our animals, and I have personally worked with Susan for assistance with my own animal companions.

Susan is also a strong advocate for animal rights and as a result has transitioned into a plant-based and vegan lifestyle, which she also feels pulled to share with those drawn to that way of life by way of a step-by-step program to assist in every facet of this lifestyle.

Fun fact! Beneath the desk both of us were wearing our PJ pants!

  • Welcome to the next episode of The Untangling Podcast.

Today I had the great pleasure of speaking with Anita Carr, a fellow author and participant in a wonderful writing project we are both involved in called Unity. Unity is a collaboration of writing by 11 female authors, who share topics relevant to us all and by sharing, demonstrate how we are all connected. It has been a passion project and curated by my wonderful publisher, the amazing Natasha Gilmour of The Kind Press.

My guest today Anita, is a passionate writer, speaker, advocate and Mum to three precious children.

She was diagnosed with ADHD and separated from her husband in 2020/2021. These two life-changing events inspired Anita to start rediscovering who she was, and as she said embrace all of the beautiful and messy parts of herself.

She slowly found her voice and started sharing her story in the hope of helping others, especially women, who may be going through similar situations, not wanting them to feel alone.

Anita and I talk about the feelings that one may experience when we make a choice like ending a long-term relationship, such as guilt, shame, failure and also the judgement that comes along with it all.

Join us as we talk honestly and openly about the traits of being a female that may bring us to these key points in our lives, possibly as a result of being ‘the good girl’, ‘the people pleaser’ and maybe feeling as though we don’t fit in.

    This is Anita’s story.

  • This episode I had the great pleasure of speaking with a fellow RTT or Rapid Transformational Therapist, the delightful Rebekah Ryan. I really wanted to chat with Rebekah, as I know that the topic of anxiety is a massive one with many people, men and women alike. Rebekah works a great deal of her time, particularly with clients suffering with stress and anxiety. If you have never suffered anxiety, then let me say from my own personal experience, that you are very lucky. It can really overtake your life. As Rebekah also knows from her own personal experience, anxiety can cause many flow-on effects including but not limited to overthinking, catastrophisation, loss of confidence and self-esteem and can affect all areas of our lives, work, family and personal relationships, and most of all our relationship with and view of self. Rebekah’s process of assisting her clients includes helping them to resolve inner turmoil and ignite resilience, confidence, positivity and self-trust, in order to master their mindset and unlock potential for their personal, relationship and business success. As you will hear from this interview, Rebekah is a gentle and caring person and can empathise greatly with what her clients are experiencing. Isn’t that what you want when you are going through something like this? From the time I have spent with Rebekah since I met her, I would definitely describe her as a ‘soft place to fall’, but that doesn’t mean she will fix your problems for you, instead she will walk alongside you as you work through it together, because that is truly where the freedom lies
Please share this podcast with anyone who you think might benefit. • I think this interview is one of the most groundbreaking I have done, especially for the males that may hear this.

Meet Michael Atma, one of the coolest, most connected guys I have hadthe privilege to meet. When I say connected, I don’t mean socially, I mean with the ‘out there’ or I guess you may say spiritually. It’s not often I meet men who are on the same plane of thought or awareness as I have had the privilege to discover, but Michael is certainly one of them.

Michael calls himself a freedom coach, he is also a bestselling author, created an amazing meditation app called the Meditation Dojo App, as well as highly experienced as a master and student in the Japanese martial art of Aikido, otherwise known as The Art of Peace. Michael truly is an ‘awoken’ man.

Join us as we discover what led Michael to discover that there was moreto his life than the everyday, how like me he never felt like he fitted intohis family and society, and how he went from a highly successful career in his 20s, living a first-class lifestyle, to losing everything and living on the streets. At that time, not surprisingly, debilitating stress and anxiety was ruling Michael’s life and he says, he didn’t share what he was going through with his family or closest friends, because it was a masculine, pride thing to talk about ‘emotions’.

Not only did Michael share, he was happy to share from what many would term as ‘vulnerability’. However, vulnerability as Michael explains is not a dirty word – it is actually an empowering one.

  • As always, I am so delighted to share my latest episode of The Untangling podcast. Jessica Lee is a delightful soul, who I knowthat the listeners will also find as endearing as I do. I met Jess some years back when we both attended a coaching program for public speaking.

Jess’ journey up to and following that meeting, is one that I know many people out there will relate to. Growing up academically-minded and also being a high-achiever, Jess was on her path to fulfilling her life goal of working in the corporate world. She had just landed her dream job with the government in Canberra, when her life changed forever, in a way she had never envisaged. Jess found herself becoming very unwell and what started out as a bout of glandular fever, progressed to her being diagnosed with CFS or chronic fatigue syndrome.

As Jess shares with us, dealing with chronic fatigue was life-changing for her, altering the trajectory of the life she had envisaged to one of success in her career to some days being unable to get out of bed or even walk. She shares with me her struggles, not only with her health, but with the attitudes and judgement of others of her, dealing with this invisible illness. The chronic fatigue also brought along with it another uninvited and unwelcome guest for Jess, crippling high anxiety that she had never experienced before.

Through the process of seeking help for both her physical and mental health, Jess was lucky to meet a health professional who helped her understand the role of our brains in illness, and also wellness. This sparked something in Jess and became another avenue for her learning, in trying to heal herself. Jess also wanted to share what she had learned with others, in the hopes that it might bring them some healing. She has done this by her writing many articles for publications such as Wellbeing magazine and has also been great research for her upcoming book. Jess has been so vulnerable with me and I am so proud of her bravery and generosity in speaking with me about her journey.

Regardless of who we are, we all have these common threads that bind us together. This is Jess’ story.

  • Welcome to the next episode in my series The Untangling podcast.

I have to say, that what amazes me time and time again, is when I speak to people who have gone through unimaginable challenges or trauma, and when they come out the other side the first thing they think about is how can I help others going through what I’ve gone through? Ann Macdonald is one of those very special people. Ann is one of the most vivacious and captivating people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. A sweet, kind soul who has overcome so much and has a heart so full of love, despite what she has experienced in her life.

Ann and I crossed paths some years back, I’m still not 100% sure how or where but that is irrelevant, because the fact that we did allowed Ann to experience some life-changing experiences, not only with her personal/emotional situation, but also her long-term debilitating chronic health conditions, culminating in so many symptoms and finally getting diagnosed with a condition called FND (functional neurological disorder).

It is hard not to get swept up in Ann’s enthusiasm and her belief in how we can all play a part in our own healing, through understanding how our minds work, and also taking responsibility for ourselves. We talk about a range of topics from domestic abuse, chronic illness and also mental health conditions.

I am proud to call Ann a special and very dear friend of mine and encourage anyone who listens to this and feels drawn to connect with Ann to help them walk through their own personal health journey to do so. What better person to support you than someone who can understand what you are experiencing.

I am so beyond delighted to share Ann’s story.

  • In this episode of my podcast The Untangling, I got to spend time with a very special lady and dear friend of mine, Sami Howard. Through her business Ripple Healing in Noosa, Queensland, Australia as well as online, Sami offers her specialised services to clients all over the world as a Pranic Energy Healer, Aromatherapist, Intuitive Coach & Restorative Yoga Teacher.

Sami. as I say in the interview, is like sunshine on a cloudy day, it is impossible not to smile and feel love in her presence, but, like all of us, she has had and still does have challenges in her life. However, instead of feeling powerless with the things life has thrown at her recently, including being a support for her agingparents, wife and mother of two teenage children, as well as running her busy practice, she has discovered another way to approach life, which is the themeof our podcast today
Sami shares with us how she is facing these challenges with the premise of ‘love no matter what’ life throws at you, how being presentin your life is so important, as well as giving yourself space to take care of you.

We also talk about her healing work and how over the last 18 months it has extended and entered into the area of working with clients with life-changing illnesses, including cancer and her collaboration with Dr Carol Haddad, Integrative Oncologist. Not only do these two powerhouses work as a team one-on-one with clients, together they facilitated a retreat in Noosa in March this year and plan to run another in early 2024. This retreat is specifically aimed at supporting people with cancer and other life-changing illnesses, to rediscover who they are, and how the process of truly exploring this can impact positively on their health and wellbeing moving forward as well as their families and loved on around them.

On top of that I am excited to announce that Sami and I will be co-facilitating a retreat with the premise of Discovering Joy, in Noosa from 13th to 16thOctober 2023 inclusive and that will be one definitely not to miss! I have put links below to connect with Sami, as well as Dr Carol Haddad and also how tofind more out about our retreat ‘Discovering Joy’.

  • Welcome to my series of The Untangling podcast! Today I had the absolute pleasure of speaking to someone who I already know is going to get a lot of people thinking, in regard to how they communicate. My guest today, Aaron Kemp, is very passionate about how the art of communication can have a huge impact on not only our own lives, but the lives of people around us, be that our partners, coworkers or employees, friends and most importantly our children.

Aaron has worked in a variety of fields during his career including hospitality and the trades, and has a passion for and spent many years coaching soccer in his spare time. He is now a business and life coach, with a real passion for supporting others not only in their businesses, but looking at how we communicate impacts on not only our own lives and happiness, but those of the people around us.

Aaron also kindly allowed me to interview him for my book The Untangling. Aaron went through his own process of untangling, in particular regarding the relationship he had with his own dad and the huge impact it had on his life. Aaron has been able to unpack a lot of emotional baggage he had been lugging around with him for nearly 50 years, and shares with us how he finally came to find peace regardingthis relationship. It is a discussion that I know will inspire you to also lookdeeply within at your own relationships, where they can be improved or maybe where you need to take some ownership. Because it is when we do this that it frees us up to have what in the end, we all want and deserve, a happy life and strong connections in our relationships.

I particularly encourage you to listen to this if you have children or are involved with young people in any way, whether that may be as a teacher or even a sports coach! Aaron gives some great advice around the key to really finding out what is being said behind the words.

    This is Aaron’ story.

  • Welcome to my series of The Untangling podcast! Today I had the honour of speaking with not only adear friend of mine, but someone who I think is going to inspire a lot ofpeople who may find themselves in a situation where they are feeling stuck andunhappy with where they are in their lives.

Donna Gudalovic is a successful real estate agent with an up-and-coming agency called Airlisting, dealing with properties across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. She is also anetworking queen and runs a rapidly growing women’s business networking groupin Brisbane.

I first met Donna about four years ago when she was at a crucial point in her life. She alsokindly allowed me to interview her for my book The Untangling. Donna wanted toshare her story on the podcast, to demonstrate to others that it is never toolate to change the trajectory of your life.

For Donna it started with really examining her belief system and the patterns that were playing outin her life and relationships, and how this in turn influenced the choices she wasmaking and ultimately her happiness.

Donna is open in sharing that through this process you may experience some uncomfortable moments and lotsof emotions when holding up the mirror of self-reflection, but if you arewilling to do the work and take responsibility for your beliefs, it can changeeverything.

    This is Donna’s story

  • Welcome to my first interview in the series of The Untangling podcast! I have had the pleasure of speakingwith a most amazing woman, with an equally amazing story, one of now living a mostwonderful life - against all odds.

Dragica ‘Debbie’ Radosavljevic is a coach/therapist and speaker, originally born in Bugojno, aprovince in Bosnia, former Yugoslavia. From living through war in Bosnia in the1990s, losing dear loved ones, fleeing to a refugee camp in Serbia and finallygaining refugee status and coming to Australia in 1998 with her young child, unableto speak English, Debbie has gone through more trauma than most of us willin a lifetime. But what is most surprising about Debbie, is that over timethrough her own strength, knowing and wisdom, she was able to come to a placeof forgiveness and rebuild her life, not letting her story and past define her.

She calls herself an 'agent of loving disruption' – because she understands that sometimes we need someone to be thatin our lives; to open our eyes to the truth, not let our past define us, so we can heal for ourselves and our loved ones around us. This is Debbie’s story.

To contact Debbie you can message her at

  • Welcome! I am thrilled to share with you the story behind The Untangling, how it came to be and in the process how it created huge shifts and change in my life and the life of others. We all deserve our own Untangling!

This audio is from the visual masterpiece which was created by Jude Ella, the exceptionally gifted filmmaker, creative artist and founder of The Atlas of Consciousness. Please feel free to share this beautiful piece if you feel called to – let’s get more goodness and hope out into the world at a time where it is needed more than ever. Share the love xxx

Or if you or someone you know are pulled to experience their own Untangling, I am now taking on clients to walk this journey alongside. Together we will discover the beliefs and situations that no longer serve us allowing freedom and joy to replace them. Speaking from experience - it is a life-changing process! • My name is Suzie de Jonge author of The Untangling and this is the Untangling series podcast, where we untangle our own unseen and unspoken chains that bind us, to open up the way for us to experience more joy and peace and healing than we ever thought possible.

This is a safe haven to experience and hear others express their own humanity, fragilities and vulnerabilities, to know you are seen and heard and not alone in the world. It will support you to bravely rediscover yourself and the limitless joy that is available to all of us.

Each fortnight you will hear me interview inspiring guests who share their own process of untangling and the possibilities that lie on the other side of judgement, blame, emotional baggage and limiting beliefs. Let the untangling begin!
