Curious about what it is like to teach art abroad? In this episode Corbie interviews artist and art educator Kat Ramsey who recently taught a textiles course in Sweden for a year. Kat is a multidisciplinary artist and educator who travels the world and freelances her art work alongside teaching. Kat shares her experience in various fields of teaching, the process to teach internationally, and tips on balancing art making and teaching.

In this episode Corbie & Kaitlyn open up the worm hole of cultural appropriation as two white teachers. They discuss inappropriate art projects that might still be happening in the art room and ways to shift proactively in order to stop cultural approriation.
They discuss ways to amplify marginilized voices as teachers, and reflect and put into action more projects that call for response rather than copying or recreating.

Art teachers know managing supplies is not an easy task! And budgeting how to get your students what they need can be tough when we have limited funding. In this episode Corbie and Kaitlyn give an overview of their budget situations and dive into how their experiences have shaped how they manage their supplies.
Kaitlyn is currently at a school with a tiny budget. Corbie is at a school with more in her budget than usual; but her previous experiences have taught her how to stretch the dollar.
