  • In late 2002, Florian heard that psychologist Daniel Kahneman had been awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.

    That set him off on a journey that saw him writing The Social Swan, a Ph.D. paper turned into a book, fusing theory from behavioural biology, economics, and cognitive psychology.

    Florian has a particular interest in the economic analysis of law. He has a Master of Business Studies, a Master of Arts in Communication Psychology, a PhD in Legal Philosophy, and a Ph.D. in Evolutionary and Behavioral Economics.

  • Rudolph Walker CBE is a British national treasure.

    He was one of the first black actors seen regularly on British television.

    His earliest television role was in 1965 as a policeman in The Wednesday Play.

    Walker appeared in the first episode of On the Buses.

    He is known for his comedic roles in Love Thy Neighbour, The Thin Blue Line, which starred Rowan Atkinson, and Ali G Indahouse.

    Walker also appeared in Doctor Who, the 1969 serial The War Games, and the first episode of Mr Bean. Other notable roles include barrister Larry Scott in the BBC series Black Silk.

    Since 2001, Walker has played Patrick Trueman in the BBC television soap opera EastEnders. In 2010 he appeared in the Internet spin-off series EastEnders: E20. He also starred in a BBC sitcom called The Crouches.

    Whilst much of his work has been on television, Walker has appeared in several movies, including 10 Rillington Place, King Ralph, and Let Him Have It.

    On the stage, he appeared in the first production of Mustapha Matura's Play Mas at the Royal Court Theatre and has played in stage productions of Shakespeare's Othello and The Tempest directed by Jonathan Miller.

    Walker lent his voice to the British children's television series Teletubbies.

    He was appointed Officer of the British Empire (OBE) Order in the 2006 Birthday Honours for services to drama.

    In 2018, Walker was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award at the British Soap Awards.

    In 2021, he was awarded the honour of Commander of the British Empire (CBE) for services to drama and charity. His investiture, the first major investiture ceremony since Covid-19 began, was held at St James’ Palace and hosted by the Prince of Wales.

  • Matthew Cooper is the co-founder of Silicon Valley fintech start-up EarnUp. In August of 2020, EarnUp was managing more than $10 billion in loans.

    After being CEO for six years, Cooper made news when he stepped down to focus on his mental health.

    “For a long time, I covered up mental health issues with other mental health issues. For example, I would manage my anxiety disorders with compulsive eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia,”

    The Netflix documentary, ‘Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel’ features an interview with musician and film-maker Pablo Camilo Vergara, aka Morbid.

    Morbid, a death metal musician, was falsely accused by amateur internet sleuths as being responsible for the death of 21-year-old Elisa Lam at the notorious Cecil Hotel, Los Angeles - despite evidence that he was in a completely different country (Mexico) at the time.

    Accusations were based on his gothic appearance and having visited the Cecil Hotel previously.

    Relentless allegations led to Morbid’s social media and financial accounts suspension, countless death threats, and eventually attempting to take his own life.

  • Rishi Sunak has delivered his budget to lift business back onto its feet post-COVID.

    The spin doctors at the UK’s Treasury Office have trumpeted Rishi Sunak’s 'ode to redemption' as a “£6bn tax cut for businesses".
