This meditation was recorded for an MS Society event to help people assess their energy levels and understand what the body is signalling to them on a daily basis. The meditation also has the added benefit of relaxation and energy renewal as a result of taking the time out to practice being mindful. How much trust do you have in yourself? Can you connect with the place in your body where you feel the inner knowing that makes decisions that you can trust? Are there any fears and doubts within you disrupting your ability to trust yourself? These are the questions we gently explore in this meditation before considering small ways we can instantly start to build trust in ourselves. This meditation may provide instant answers or it may be sowing the seeds that deliver insight over the next few days. Approach it with a sense of openness and curiosity and trust in yourself that you are building greater awareness and inner strength as a result of this practice.

In addition to being a relaxing breath practice, this meditation helps us to open the channel of communication with the body. We breathe into the lower, mid and upper abdomen to relax the body and also encourage connection with any sensations or feelings being stored in these areas. This helps us to move away from overthinking and to connect to the wisdom of the body and any messages it may have for us. This can take time to master but with practice we can all tune into our inner knowing which can help us reduce overthinking and make decisions with confidence.

This three part breathing exercise is deeply relaxing and helps us to open the channel of communication with the body through a breath practice. We breathe into the lower, mid and upper abdomen to relax the body and also encourage connection with any sensations or feelings being stored in these areas.
This is the first stage in connecting to the body's inner wisdom and is the foundation for building self awareness and self trust that leads us to make decisions with confidence.

This meditation is great for tense bodies and minds. We systematically tense and release different parts of the body. It is perfect for beginners or busy minds because there is a feeling of having something to do throughout the meditation. It's also only 10 minutes long which makes it easy to integrate into those busy days that make us feel stressed and anxious.

Four square or box breathing is where we count each part of the breath for an equal count, thus making each part an equal duration. The breath is split into 4 parts, the in breath, the pause as the inhale finishes, the exhale and then the pause when the exhale finishes before the next inhale begins. This breathing exercise can also be done with eyes open and if you have anything square around you. You can trace the shape with your eyes, or even your finger, as you go through each round of breathing. So as you breath in, your eyes trace along one side of the square, hold as you trace the second side etc. You can keep counting as you do this to maintain even breathing and this also helps to focus the mind away from thoughts. This is the breathing exercise often recommended for panic attacks and other times of high stress or anxiety.

This vision board activation meditation helps you to visualise the realisation of the goals and intentions you have on your vision board. For this meditation have your vision board in front of you.
This meditation starts with eyes open while you absorb the images on your board. We use the affirmations as a mantra before visualising ourself in the place, situation, noticing all the details around us. We notice how we feel and how we look in the space where our goals have been realised.

Cultivating awareness and acceptance of whatever is happening in the body and mind. Intended to prevent us adding an extra layer of suffering that often comes from resisting things as they are. Acceptance is a paradox in that in order to change things we must first make peace with them.

This short noting meditation is intended to help you learn to notice the nature of thoughts in your mind, and to notice when you are lost in them. By facing our thoughts with openness and curiosity we see them more clearly and notice when we are being swept away by them. This mindful awareness is key to us keeping control of which thoughts we choose to spend our time and energy investigating and which ones we can allow to flow through without requiring much intervention from us.

This meditation takes an open and curious look at the emotions that are currently present and allows us to connect to them, feel them and then let them go. We then choose a desired emotion and recall that, using thoughts to enhance the emotion. We then enjoy connecting to that emotion before letting it flow. This meditation helps us learn the shape of our emotions and our ability to change the experience with thoughts. It highlights our attitude towards different emotions. When we can let go of judgment and be open and curious our emotions are free to flow and have less control over our stress switch.

A mantra or affirmation is used as the focus for attention. The words of the mantra are repeated and serve as an anchor for the mind. Their meaning helps you to positively influence the state of the body and mind. Create your own mantra or use Louise Hay's affirmation 'All will be well.'

In this feel good meditation we bring to mind the positive qualities we see in someone else and wish for them to receive more of these qualities. We then wish for ourselves to receive positivity creating connection and good feelings.
