This week, Fiona is joined by Chloe, Katie, Ellie and Am from the Deck of Many Aces podcast for SHIVER, the award winning tabletop roleplaying game bringing tales of the mysterious, the peculiar and the strange to life.
Published by Parable Games, SHIVER has easy to learn rules which make it fast to play and keep players immersed in chaotic and dark magic filled stories. SHIVER uses symbolic dice to keep players engaged in the story as well as providing a visual role playing aid that does away with pesky arithmetic. Character creation is quick and easy with a simple skill point and ability system that links to the game's dice.
Check out Deck of Many Aces: An actual-play DND podcast made by actual asexuals and aromantics! Each of the four heroes' fate is tied to one of the 22 cards in the “Deck of Many Things”, a DND magical object based on a tarot deck. You can listen to Deck of Many Aces wherever you listen to podcasts!
You can find out more information about SHIVER and grab your own copy of the Parable Games website.

A WAIR x Effekt Podcast Livestream Collaboration to celebrate the end of the Tales of The Old West Kickstarter!
The Sherwoods is a family of homesteaders, taking a day off from the farm to catch a wild horse as a birthday treat for the youngest member of the family, on their 16th birthday. However, the nice day out doesn't go as smoothly as they'd hoped.
Tales of the Old West is the TTRPG of gritty, hard-hitting action and adventure set in a historical recreation of the 1870s American West, a world where the dangers you face lurk in the hearts of other folk, or from the very land beneath your feet. It uses Free League Publishing’s award-winning Year Zero Engine, adapted to fit the Western theme.
Fiona (WAIR and The DM's Book Club) will be joined by Michelle (Secrets of St. Kilda), Lou (Of Dice & Them), Liz (Realms of Peril & Glory) and Jordan (Modified Roll) for a special one off scenario run by Dave Semark (Effekt Podcast/Game Designer of TOTOW).
Support the Tales of the Old West Kickstarter and grab your free QuickDraw rules!
This one-shot’s audio was taken from the Tales of the Old West Livestream which was broadcasted on Sept 30th 2024..
