As the nation reels again from yet another shooting of an unarmed African-American man, the NBA players still playing in Orlando made another statement -- by choosing not to play. Chris Miller, Chase Hughes, Wes Hall and Quinton Mayo start this podcast by sharing their thoughts on the latest act of violence - and how the NBA continues to lead the sports world in civil protest.
When the discussion turns to basketball, the guys discuss Chase's story about potential suitors this off-season for Davis Bertans - and whether or not the Wizards should re-sign the sharp shooter.
From there, the talk turns to the Wizards biggest needs heading into free agency, and of course, the NBA Draft -- as several players have already caught the eye of the Wizards Talk Podcast crew..
Chase somehow even manages to tell a funny joke... No, really. It's ACTUALLY funny.

Wizards GM Tommy Shepard was than able to jump on with the guys as he discussed some potential off-season options he is looking at, what position he is looking to address in the draft and what input do John and Brad have when it comes to deciding their next teammate. That and much more as the Wizards off-season is just getting started!

After 7 tough losses in Orlando, the Wizards finally have a reason to hold their heads high. The Celtics didn't play their big names, but a win's a win.
Chris Miller, Wes Hall and Quinton Mayo look back at the 96-90 win, and wonder if this can carry-over into next season.
Plus, it's never too early to talk about the future - especially with the NBA Draft Lottery right around the corner. The Wizards could be in position to draft a top prospect - if the ping pong balls bounce their way.
The guys also talk about the biggest needs for next season and how the young Wizards fit the overall plan with John Wall and Bradley Beal returning to action.
We'll also bring you Chris' interview with Scott Brooks from Wizards Postgame Live - as the head coach stopped by the show to recap the Restart - and the season as a whole.

3 minutes into Game 6 of the NBA Restart in Orlando, the Wizards found themselves in a 10-0 hole... Not exactly the formula to get your first win of the Restart..
Chris Paul 's veteran leadership, along with a strong performance from his teammates led to a 121-103 win over Washington...
Still, Chris Miller. Quinton Mayo and Jimmy Patsos find a few bright spots --- including the play of Isaac Bonga, who continues to show flashes. And Jerome Robinson continued his good play of late.
We'll also bring you the interview Chris had with Natasha Cloud from Wizards Pregame Live. The Mystics guard tells us why she decided to sit out the WNBA season to focus on important societal issues, and why she's actively involved in the When We All Vote campaign.
We close out the Podcast with a great idea from Jimmy. The league announced its Awards finalist a few days ago... How about Bubble Awards ---and your MVP is the most unlikely of players...

Halfway through the 8 game NBA Restart schedule, the short-handed Wizards are still looking for their first win. But there's plenty of good to build on, even in a 107-98 loss to the 76ers. Thomas Bryant, Jerome Robinson and Troy Brown Jr continued their strong showings of late.
And that provides the first debate between Chris Miller, Quinton Mayo and Chase Hughes in this podcast: Who's been the Most Improved Player for the Wizards in Orlando.
You'll also hear Chris' interview with Wizards GM Tommy Sheppard from Wizards Postgame Live. You'll hear his assessment of the team so far - and what he hopes to see the rest of the way.

Sunday's contest against Nets was as close to a "must-win" as you could get for the Wizards. But, career highs in points and rebounds by Thomas Bryant, and a stat stuffing performance from Troy Brown wasn't enough, as the Wizards fell short. A 118-110 loss drops them to 0-2 in the NBA's restart, with 6 games remaining on the schedule
Chris, Wes Hall and Quinton Mayo breakdown the highs and lows of the game - including the key to getting Rui Hachimura going again after a quiet game against Brooklyn.
And despite playing one of the East's best on the 2nd half of a back to back, you'll hear why a win against the Pacers isn't out of the question

Chris Miller, Wes Hall and Quinton Mayo give their takeaways from Washington's 125-112 loss to Phoenix in the Orlando opener for both teams. There was some good (Jerome Robinson, Rui Hachimura) and bad (turnovers, fouls) to go around. All gets discussed here.
And with the loss, and only 7 games remaining, is it too early to call the next game against the Nets a must win?
There's also a peak into the future, when John Wall and Bradley Beal return to the court next season. And let's just say one of the pod-guys is worried - and it has nothing to do with health.
You'll also get the early skinny on some of the early action down in the Bubble - with impressive performances by the 2 likely contenders for this year's MVP Award.
