A new investigative series from the production team behind ‘Where Is George Gibney?’
This new series will focus on another figure who lived a double life and was eventually forced to live under cover. And it’s a story, like the George Gibney one, that many would prefer was never told.
So, from this point on, this feed will be renamed ‘Cover.’ Series 1 one of which was ‘Where Is George Gibney?’ and series 2 is Stakeknife.
In Northern Ireland from 1978 to 1994, the IRA killed over 40 alleged informers; people accused of passing information to the police and the British Army. But the man who often found, tortured, and sometimes killed these men and women was himself an informer, a secret British Army Agent with the codename Stakeknife.
Using secret recordings, reporter Mark Horgan traces the astonishing double life of Freddie Scappaticci. Why was he protected? How did he walk the tightrope between the IRA and British Army intelligence for so long and when murders, often of entirely innocent people, were sometimes allowed to take place despite state security force surveillance, who gets to play God?
This series is about far more than just one man; it’s about the state structures that protected him. From the production team behind the international award-winning ‘Where Is George Gibney?’, Stakeknife tells the story of one of the most-contested and darkest episodes of the Troubles. When neither side wants the story of Stakeknife to come out, how does society try to reconcile the truth about what happened?
You can continue to contact our production team about either series via our new email [email protected] and rest assured, any significant future movements in the story of George Gibney will also be covered right here. Talk to you again next week.

Join Vogue Williams & Joanne McNally for a weekly chat with 100% honesty guaranteed."My Therapist Ghosted Me" is the result of Joanne's therapist doing just that! Ignoring her calls, refusing to answer the door at the clinic, or speak to her after she'd tracked him down at Enfield crematorium as he scattered his Aunt's ashes. Despite it all, it’s often said that friends give the best therapy so Vogue & Joanne have teamed up to do exactly that (alongside a generous helping of laughter as that too is said to be the best form of therapy). The aim of this weekly podcast is to make economics easy, uncomplicated and accessible. With the world at a political, technological and financial tipping point, economics has never been so important to all of us and yet, it’s made inaccessible and complicated by so many.
I’ve always thought what is complicated is rarely important and what is important is rarely complicated.
That will be our motto.
Every week we are going to tease out some big economic or political issue facing us, not just here in Ireland but in Europe and further afield. Globalisation has brought us all together. We all face similar challenges whether you live in Dublin, London, Minnesota or Milan.

Season 6: The Bad Guru. A yoga school in London. A guru running from the police. How did Miranda get sucked in?
Also: Al Fayed: Predator at Harrods. Women accuse Mohamed Al Fayed of rape. And: The Abercrombie Guys. Investigating sexual exploitation claims against the former CEO of fashion giant Abercrombie & Fitch.
Delve into a World of Secrets: the global investigations podcast from the BBC. Uncovering stories around the world and telling them, episode by episode, with gripping storytelling.
Latest season: The Bad Guru. A yoga school in London. A guru running from the police. How did Miranda get sucked in? Journalist Cat McShane investigates the international yoga movement headed by Gregorian Bivolaru, the spiritual guide arrested by French police in November 2023 and charged with human trafficking, organised kidnapping, rape and organised abuse of weakness by members of a sect.
“Nobody joins a cult. You just get sucked in,” says Penny, the mother of a university tutor from London.
In 2017, Penny’s daughter Miranda joins a yoga charity with studios in London and Oxford. The classes make Miranda feel amazing and the people make her feel loved. “There was this sense that these people cared,” says Miranda.
But as Miranda becomes more deeply involved with the international yoga movement that her group in London is part of, her mother Penny starts to worry. “When she rang us, she'd be speaking in very hushed tones,” says Penny.
Miranda has fallen under the spell of guru Gregorian Bivolaru. She joins thousands of his followers from around the world on a free holiday at a coastal resort in Romania. It’s part of a search for spiritual enlightenment which will see her driven through Paris blindfolded and doing sex work in Prague.
This series includes explicit sexual content and strong language.
Previous seasons of World of Secrets:
Season 5: Finding Mr Fox. Investigating a plot to smuggle around a hundred millions of dollars’ worth of drugs from Brazil to Europe and the miscarriage of justice that followed. But where is the man Brazilian police believe to be at the centre of it all?
Season 4: Al Fayed, Predator at Harrods. Egyptian billionaire Mohamed Al Fayed – then owner of Harrods, one of the most famous shops in the world – is accused of rape and attempted rape by women who worked for him. Now they refuse to be silenced any longer.
Season 3: The Apartheid Killer. All the victims were black and the youngest was just 12 years old. Some relatives are still searching for the graves. They were killed during a three-year bloodbath in the 1980s, in the South African city of East London – by one person. He killed so many, he lost count. In piecing together this story, we expose the disturbed past and racial injustices of South Africa itself.
Season 2: The Disciples. The cult of Nigerian prophet TB Joshua. A story of miracles, faith and manipulation, told by people from around the world, who gave up everything for one of the most powerful religious figures of the century. Lured by TB Joshua’s claimed healing powers, they live as disciples in a guarded Lagos compound, cut off from family and friends.
Season 1: The Abercrombie Guys. An investigation into claims of sexual exploitation made against the former CEO of fashion giant Abercrombie & Fitch. He and his British partner were accused by several men, recruited for sex events they hosted around the world.

Peak Danger is Season 2 of Extreme, the BBC podcast about those who chase the impossible... who strive for superhuman status and refuse to accept that life has any limits. Every season tells an unforgettable, action-packed story about people who’ve pushed their minds and bodies to the very edge – but at what cost?
A mountain of trouble...
In August 2008, around 30 climbers took on K2. Over 2 disastrous days, 11 of those people would lose their lives. This is the story of what really happened.
Sitting on the border between China and Pakistan, K2 is a perfect pyramid that pierces through the clouds. It looks like a kid’s drawing of a mountain…but this terrifying peak is anything but child’s play.
Newlyweds Cecilie Skog and her husband Rolf Bae loved climbing mountains almost as much as they loved one another. In the summer of 2008, they embarked on a honeymoon like no other, when they decided to climb K2. What happened next would change their lives and the lives of everyone around them…forever.
A devastating avalanche scatters high altitude climbers across K2’s steep slopes. Life and death rescue missions quickly get underway. Who can be saved… before time runs out?
Historian and podcaster Natalia Mehlman Petrzela returns with a sky-high story of human vs nature, and of survival against all the odds.
What does it really take to push yourself to the brink of human possibility? How does it feel to stand with the whole world at your feet? And is it ever worth risking death… in order to feel alive?

The Gambler is a new GoLoud Original from the team behind The Witness, journalist Nicola Tallant and producer Ian Maleney.
How far can someone be pushed by their demons? How far will they go to cover their tracks?
A phone call from prison kicks off a journey into the darkest reaches of addiction, crime and deception – as reporters Nicola Tallant and Ian Maleney try to unravel the story of gambling addict and serial fraudster, Patrick Sheedy.
The Gambler tells the fascinating, mysterious, and sometimes confusing tale of the convicted con man from Limerick, who used theft and fraud to fund a gambling addiction that spiraled out of control and consumed his life.
We meet Pat as he prepares to leave prison, vowing to leave his criminal past behind and ready to tell his story in a memoir that will be published to national acclaim.
Over the course of eighteen months, Tallant and Maleney delve into every aspect of Sheedy’s story, from his early life in Limerick, to his descent into the world of crime, and his attempts to redeem himself and set right the wrongs of his past. They also meet some of his victims, and hear about the continuing impact of his crimes on their lives.
The Gambler brings listeners on a deeply personal, riveting journey that explores crime, addiction, manipulation, guilt, and redemption. Over the course of eight episodes, The Gambler weaves interviews with Sheedy, his victims, and addiction experts through a rich and immersive soundscape to produce a stunning portrait of a life lived under the influence.

Hi, we're Ben Stiller and Adam Scott. We have severed ourselves from the world for 5 years, making the workplace thriller Severance. While we have no memory of what happened during that time, we thought we should make a companion podcast for all the Innies who will have no recollection of watching, in an attempt to reintegrate them with their memory of the show.
This is the Severance Podcast with Ben Stiller and Adam Scott, an episode-by-episode, behind-the-scenes breakdown with the creators, cast, crew, and fans of the Emmy- and Peabody Award-winning TV show.
In advance of Season 2 premiering January 17 on Apple TV+, director/executive producer Stiller and star/executive producer Scott will rewatch every episode of Season 1 and share in-depth, never-before-heard analysis, alongside guests including creator Dan Erickson, producer Jackie Cohn, stars Zach Cherry ("Dylan"), John Turturro ("Irving") and Britt Lower ("Helly"), and celebrity superfans Jon Stewart, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard. The podcast will continue weekly following new episodes of Season 2. From Audacy Podcasts, Audacy's Pineapple Street Studios, Red Hour, and Great Scott.
If you’ve got a question about Severance, call our hotline at 212-830-3816. We just might play your voicemail and answer your question on the podcast. -

This empowering series tells the stories of inspirational people who have overcome challenges and fears in their lives in order to thrive. With the help of stellar guests including Dame Judi Dench, Michelle Visage and Evy Poumpouras, Trinny will be digging deep into the fears that can hold us back from our goals, and how to overcome them.
“Can you actually choose to live a more fearless life? And what could you achieve if you did?
Fear is something I’ve felt deeply at multiple points in my life. Like so many others will know, it's an emotion that can leave us feeling paralysed, or like we just can’t compete. Those telltale butterflies. Feeling frozen in the headlights. Panic. We’ve all been there.
But there is nothing more inspiring than seeing a friend stare fear right in the eyes. And whenever I’ve been challenged by fear, that rush has led me to unexpected places...
In this podcast, I’ll be talking to guests who’ve made inspiring steps to overcome the hurdles and the nerves – and we’ll answer your questions about how to build an entirely new, fearless mindset” – Trinny Woodall

Those fascinated by the lives of kings and queens can journey to Versailles to meet Marie Antoinette and Louis XIV the Sun King, or to Ancient Egypt to meet Cleopatra and Nerfertiti. Or perhaps you’re looking to explore the history of religion, from Buddhism’s early teachings to the Protestant Reformation. If you’re interested in the stories behind iconic works of art, music and literature, dive in to discussions on the artistic genius of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel and Van Gogh’s famous Sunflowers. Those looking to enrich their scientific knowledge can hear episodes on black holes, the Periodic Table, and classical theories of gravity, motion, evolution and relativity. Lovers of philosophy will find episodes on the big issues that define existence, from free will and ethics, to liberty and justice. In what ways did celebrated philosophers such as Mary Wollstonecraft and Karl Marx push forward radical new ideas? How has the concept of karma evolved from the ancient Sanskrit texts of Hinduism to today? What was Plato’s concept of an ideal republic, and how did he explore this through the legend of the lost city of Atlantis?
