Welcome to ”Pet Loss And Divine Healing Podcast,” ~ Where We Walk Together Through Pet Loss with Faith and Love
Hi there, I’m Rachel Shirley, the heart behind my book and now podcast ”Pet Loss And Divine Healing: A Compassionate Guide For Navigating Your Devastating Loss.”
If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re grappling with the pain of losing a pet, a pain I know all too well.
This podcast is my way of sitting down with you, sharing a cup of tea, and talking about our beloved animals who’ve left us too soon.
Why I Started This Podcast for You
I started the ”Pet Loss And Divine Healing Podcast” with a clear purpose: to be a source of hope and comfort for anyone mourning the loss of their furry, feathered, or scaled family member.
My Christian faith has been a beacon of light in my grief journey, and I want to share that light with you. Through stories, reflections, and prayers, we’ll explore the healing promises found in the Bible, offering a shoulder to lean on and a space to heal.
I’m here to tell you you’re not walking this path alone.
Together, we’ll navigate this journey, honoring the precious memories of our pets and finding peace in the knowledge that God eternally designs our connection with them. They have touched our lives by divine design, and we are comforted by the promise of eternal reunion.
About My Book
In Pet Loss And Divine Healing delves into the heart-wrenching experience of pet loss, providing readers with a guiding light toward recovery. My book explores the profound bond between pets and their owners, acknowledging the deep grief accompanying their loss while offering insights into divine healing.
My approach combines professional insights with a compassionate, faith-based perspective, emphasizing pets as sacred gifts from God. Through personal stories and suggested coping mechanisms, my book ensures readers feel supported in their grief, guiding them toward a place of light and restoration.
A Bit About Me
I’m a fellow pet parent, an author, and a coach. I love deeply and have felt the sting of loss. My work guides us through life’s profound moments, especially when we lose our pets. Sophie's mum got sick a few years back. After lots of treatment, lots of praying, lots of hoping, she died last year. Sophie wrote to her friend, Malcolm, trying to process what had happened. Over the next few months, Malcolm wrote a series of letters in response to Sophie, each unpacking an aspect of grief and faith. Each episode of this podcast explores an aspect of how to live as faithfully and authentically through our experiences of grief.

Do you want to care for the people in your ministry more effectively? This podcast will equip you to do exactly that.
The reality of Christian ministry is that it can be exhausting, overwhelming, and lonely. This is certainly true for pastors, but it is also true for all Christians in ministry! And every Christian has a ministry of some kind. From youth leaders to Bible study leaders to loving your next-door neighbor, we are all in ministry to the people around us.
And those people are hurting.
The emotional struggles, mental health needs, and relationship challenges of today’s world are big. Millions of people struggle with anxiety, depression, divorce, abuse, and stress. And when people are hurting, the Church is meant to help.
… But do you really feel equipped to do that?
The mission of this podcast is to EQUIP and ENCOURAGE you in your ministry leadership. Whether you are pastoring a mega church or the far more common smaller church, or maybe you’re working at a nonprofit and leading a book club on your lunch break - you want to be able to love and care for the people around you.
Every episode will EQUIP you with practical skills, ideas, tools, or resources to address the “counseling” related needs of the people in your ministry. Each episode will also seek to ENCOURAGE you in the important ministry work you are doing for the Lord’s glory.
