Feeling overwhelmed as a mom? Tired of the world’s negative view of boys? Wondering if you’re doing enough to prepare your son for the future God has for him?
Welcome to Raising Boys with Purpose.
I’m Brooke—boy mom and Christ follower—and I know firsthand how challenging it can be to raise sons who are ready to launch into adulthood. For more than 25 years, I’ve walked the road of raising two boys, navigating the joy, the questions, the prayers, the mistakes, and the constant desire to guide them well. I researched, lost sleep, learned the hard way, and discovered that raising boys intentionally—with a plan—makes all the difference.
This podcast is here to encourage and equip you as you raise your son to become the man, God created him to be. Together, we’ll focus on building faith in God, responsibility, independence, discipline, resilience, and the real-life skills your son needs for a strong launch into adulthood.
Each week, you’ll find two types of episodes:
Tuesday teaching episodes that offer practical strategies, biblical wisdom, and encouragement for raising boys with purpose.Thursday episodes—Mom’s Perspective—where I share commentary on articles, news stories, and cultural conversations shaping how we raise our boys today. We’ll talk honestly about the challenges of raising boys in a noisy world, how culture views our sons, and how we can help them see themselves the way God sees them. And we’ll do it with truth, grace, encouragement, and a little humor—because motherhood needs that too.
If you’re ready to parent with intention, pursue the future God has for your son, and walk this journey alongside another mom who understands, you’re in the right place.
Grab your iced coffee—it’s time to start raising boys with purpose.

My name is Destiny and I'm here to tell you my life story one part at at time.
here is a little of my life story and there are trigger warnings of abuse, sexual abuse, rape, foster care and subside attempts. if you are under the age of 18 please do not watch this podcast is more for adults or people who have been through the same thing I have been through. Anyways short story part, I was a foster kid at the age of 8 years old and from there my life went down hill from abandonment, to both mommy and daddy issues, to heart break to turning my life around and graduating high school having my first child at age 22 and meeting the love of my life at 24.

You’ve started a family and you’re tired of facing conflict with your partner and loved ones. For the sake of you and your family you want to experience more support and connection. You’ve prepared in so many ways- the supplies, the toys, etc; and despite the fact that you’re doing all the things expected of you, you’re not enjoying enough of the loving connection you hoped for during this special time in your family. You’re sometimes feeling judged and misunderstood. Mom, I’m here to tell you that transitioning to parenthood sets relationships up to struggle. You aren’t alone! The problem is that most resources for Moms doesn’t address the power of healing family relationships. They don’t address how Moms and families can achieve relief much faster by improving connection. But we’re going to change that! Hi. I’m Evie. I’m a mom of two, wife, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and fierce advocate of healthy family functioning. Everyone deserves peace and connection. Moms need more than individual survival tips & our kids need more than activities and toys. When couple relationships & family relationships improve, Moms (and everyone) enjoy more connection, more love, more support. That’s the kind of family dynamic we want to welcome our babies into. Marriage after baby is hard and marriage problems after baby are the norm. I’ve seen too many couples and families regret how much they fought and how lonely they felt, during what could have been a joyous time of bonding. Research and my clinical experience clearly shows that the healthier relationships are, the less anxiety, depression, & struggles parents and children experience. Having a baby is a FAMILY matter, not an individual matter. After helping countless moms, couples, and families start deeply connecting, I’ve learned what patterns hurt relationships and what makes things better. And I’m going to share my knowledge with you! Welcome to the Bonds after Baby podcast. Here you’ll get weekly support and coaching from me- This is going to be a place where you’re struggles will be understood, where you’ll get clarity on why it’s so hard, and receive actionable tips on how to get things to a better place. You can also listen with your partner, mother, mother-in-law, aunt- anyone who wants to learn with you! So grab your headphones and join me here- it’s time for you to enjoy more connection and less conflict during this special time in your family’s life. Want all the resources at your fingertips? I’ll be offering freebie goodies and coaching packages in the near future. Sign up for my email list at www.bondsafterbaby.com to get the goods.

Between Chaos & Bedtime is where I tell my story of being a dad with late-diagnosed ADHD.This podcast lives in the space most parents know well—the messy middle between work, parenting, and trying to hold it all together. Each episode is a voiceovers of my written stories—honest reflections on what’s working, what’s not, and what I’m still figuring out. It’s for anyone who wants the content but doesn’t have time to read (or maybe just doesn't like reading). You can listen in the car, on your way to work, or while life is happening around you.Down the road, I’ll bring in conversations with others. But for now, it’s just me, sharing the truth as I experience it.
