Where there are successful tales of obtaining H1B visas and receiving long-awaited green cards, there are also stories of hardship, struggle, and the resulting resilience and determination that arise. Where there is toil and strife, diligence and perseverance, there are also a multitude of other individuals who have experienced the same, and yet lived out their lives as immigrants in a completely different manner. Altogether, we hope to craft a well-rounded portrait of what it’s like to come to America and find yourself––slowly but surely––defining what it means to be American in your own right.
